COACHES
WE NEED YOU!
The South Windsor Youth Soccer Club relies on the generous contributions of dedicated volunteers to help facilitate our soccer programs.
We are looking for enthusiastic adults to help with our youth soccer house leagues. We have almost 500 kids in our club from ages 4 to 17. We need coaches and division conveners to help us run the league smoothly. The commitment is only about 2 hours per week for coaches (one practice night, one game night) and is a little bit more for conveners (you are the point of contact for coaches and help support them) but both positions are fully supported by the SWYSC.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The SWYSC is proud to be offering ten $500 coaching scholarships this season to students entering grades 11 or 12 or who will be enrolled in post-secondary studies as of September 2025. Scholarships will be granted on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be disbursed at the end of the coaching season. Each applicant is only eligible for one scholarship per season.
Our season runs from the middle of May to the middle of August and you will be required to coach for two hours per week (one game and one practice). Any applicants who are under 18 will require a mentor aged 18+.

WHY VOLUNTEER?
While it can be amazing for our kids when we get involved in their activities, they are not the only ones that benefit. We can say with certainty that coaches gain a great deal from their experience with sports leadership.
