  • Volunteers Needed

The South Windsor Youth Soccer Club relies on the generous contributions of dedicated volunteers to help facilitate our soccer programs.

We are looking for enthusiastic adults to help with indoor soccer for our youth divisions. Our indoor programs look a bit different than our outdoor seasons and our “coaches” for indoor are needed to assist our game leaders on the turf. Each coach won’t be necessarily assigned a team per se but assigned to an age group and will facilitate scrimmages with the players from week to week.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, you can start by going to https://swysc.powerupsports.com/  and click on “Volunteer Now!”

Also, as always, you can email any questions to registrar@swysc.ca

While it can be amazing for our kids when we get involved in their activities, they aren’t the only ones that benefit. We can say with certainty that coaches gain a great deal from their experience with sports leadership.

Here are some good reasons to consider volunteering.

    1. You’ll get to spend more time with your child
    2. You’ll expand your social network (and I don’t just mean your Facebook friends)
    3. You’ll develop new skills
    4. You’ll learn and re-learn life lessons
    5. You’ll get a work out, too (and be a good role model)
    6. You’ll come away with a sense of pride and accomplishment
    7. You’ll have fun

Thank you for considering being a volunteer!
